"Written things are not for speech; their form is literary; they are stiff, inflexible, and will not lend themselves to happy and effective delivery with the tongue--where their purpose is to merely entertain, not instruct; they have to be limbered up, broken up, colloquialized and turned into common forms of premeditated talk--otherwise they will bore the house and not entertain it." - Mark Twain
A lot is said about content management, but not many people really understand it. Put simply it's just being able to keep firm control of the content that you deliver. It's not just about control though, it's also about freedom.
The web is a living entity, your content needs to evolve and grow over time if it's to stay relevant. A good Content Management System (CMS) enables you to keep on top of your content without it becoming a burden.
Not Reinventing the Wheel
We've designed CMS systems before, but they tended to be in relation to a specific client need, so in order to save costs were never really as transparent as they could be in order to 'mass produce' sites from them. Instead we get our inspiration from a number of different resources in the open source community; Drupal, Mambo (now Joomla!), and provide custom implementations of these systems with design templates that make managing the content easy.
We're not ashamed of this, because these products have had far more real-world testing than it would be possible for us to perform on a small scale project. This frees us from development of the core system and allows us to concentrate on your requirements better at a lower cost.
Added Value
If you've been using the internet for a while, you'll know all about things like RSS Feeds, online articles and Blogs. All these features become available to you at no extra cost. It's not a far cry to turn these into podcasts containing audio or video streams. With the help of our affiliates we can provide video and audio production expertise and facilities.
