Guideline Publications Web Site Suite

This one is a little different from the rest, a whole suite of sites catering for 3 magazines and an online shop. This was done in collaboration with Dark Star Media.

Once again, we settled on Drupal for the CMS solution in this case. This time the modules used as part of the core solution were CCK, Views, Webforms and Ubercart (an excellent shopping cart module for drupal).

We put together a new module to link up the shopping cart to the ProtX VPS Forms payment gateway, which has been opensourced and can be downloaded from http://www.ubercart.org/contrib/2773

Delta Controls Web Site

I'm proud to announce that this website has gone live in the last month. Delta controls is a manufacturer of various industrial switches, and the website showcases their product range.

The key requirement for the site was to allow them to manage just about every aspect of the content on it for themselves. Just to add some fun into the mix, the site is presented in a wide array of languages.

We looked at various CMS solutions for the job and ended up settling on Drupal, with the added benefits of the CCK, Views, Webforms and Localizer modules.

Sky News Subtitle Analysis Project Completed

sky-logoWe have just completed a little intranet project for Sky News, a tool which provides a live AJAX-based feed of subtitles from all sky news broadcast, and allows researchers to run historical searches for words or phrases used.

This project was completed under budget with the aid of CakePHP and scriptaculous.

New Site Launched : BHF.CC

I'm proud to announce that a new site has gone live this week.

http://www.bhf.cc/

This one was completed in association with Britweb Online.

Of particular note on this one:

  • A newly developed "filmstrip" control for the feature properties section
  • The "slideshow" component in full effect on the front page.

Scriptaculous Slideshow Component

I've put together a rather nice fading slideshow element that uses the Scriptaculous library. This was originally for a client site, but it's quite adept at going just about anywhere.

It couldn't be much easier to use, full instructions are in the comment at the top of the JS file.
